I’m a software engineer, currently working at Starburst Data. I also own and run a small software consultancy, where I serve clients in Minnesota and Wisconsin (mostly in the Twin Cities area). I live in River Falls, WI, and while I have other hobbies like traveling, backpacking, and tennis, most of my time is spent writing code and raising a family. Reach out to me anytime! I’ll occasionally post here things that interest me, whenever I get time to write them up (which is rare).

Right now, I work as a staff software engineer at Starburst Data, working on their identity and access management platform. Specifically, I build features and provide architectural guidance on authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and attribute-based access control (ABAC) within Starburst’s Galaxy and Enterprise products. I also helped build Starburst’s hosted MCP offerings, so I know enough about building AI applications to be dangerous.
